ABOUT US
In 2010 the San Diego Unified School District asked each of the 16 neighborhood 'clusters' to form an official Cluster Advisory Board. The University City Cluster Committee serves these five University City public schools: University City High, Standley Middle, Curie, Doyle and Spreckels Elementary Schools. The University City Cluster Committee brings together parents, teachers, students, and principals from these schools along with district leadership including a school board member and the area superintendent to advocate for our community's voice on the issues that matter most to us.
We advocate for all students, especially those whose needs are most often overlooked. We believe every family in our cluster deserves a seat at the table where decisions get made.
We meet on Monday evenings every other month over Zoom — just five meetings a year — to discuss how district policy intersects with the real needs of our local schools, making it one of the most direct ways to influence decisions at both the school and district level.
Whether you want to stay informed or weigh in on issues affecting your kids we'd love to have you involved.
